Store Policies
A few simple guidelines help us keep Dirty Birds welcoming, fair, and transparent for everyone. Please review the policies below before donating, purchasing, or participating in a promotion.
Donations
Dirty Birds Collective is an independent, for-profit resale boutique. We are not a consignment store and we are not a nonprofit organization.
We gratefully accept donated clothing, accessories, art, and home goods at our discretion, based on condition, season, available space, and the current needs of the shop. Unless a separate written promotion expressly says otherwise, donations are voluntary and are not purchased, consigned, exchanged for store credit, or eligible for a tax-deductible donation receipt.
Once a donation is accepted, it becomes the property of Dirty Birds Collective and cannot be returned or retrieved. Donated items may be offered for sale, donated onward, recycled, repurposed, or responsibly disposed of. We cannot guarantee that every accepted item will be placed on the sales floor.
Please contact us before bringing a large donation, and do not leave items outside or unattended. We may decline items that are unsafe, recalled, counterfeit, prohibited, heavily damaged, or not suitable for the shop.
Loyalty Program & Store Credit
LOYALTY PROGRAM
Participation in the Dirty Birds loyalty program is optional. Current ways to earn and redeem rewards, including qualifying purchases and exclusions, will be communicated by Dirty Birds Collective when you join or participate.
Rewards have no cash value, may not be sold or transferred, and are tied to the participating customer’s account. One loyalty account is permitted per person. Rewards may be adjusted or removed for canceled or reversed transactions, account errors, fraud, misuse, or activity that violates these terms.
Purchases made with loyalty rewards remain subject to our Returns & Final Sale Policy. Dirty Birds Collective may update, pause, or end the program and may correct program errors, subject to applicable law.
STORE CREDIT
Store credit is issued only when expressly authorized by Dirty Birds Collective; it is not an entitlement to a return, exchange, or refund. Store credit is separate from loyalty rewards and gift cards.
Credit may be used only through the purchase channel identified when it is issued. It is not redeemable for cash except where required by law and may not be sold or transferred. Treat any store-credit code or document like cash, as lost or stolen credit may not be replaceable.
Any applicable expiration date or use restriction will be disclosed when the credit is issued and will be governed by applicable law. Purchases made with store credit remain subject to our Returns & Final Sale Policy.
Giveaways
From time to time, Dirty Birds Collective may offer giveaways or promotional drawings. Each giveaway will include its own Official Rules in the promotional post or on a linked page. Those rules will state the eligibility requirements, entry period, entry method, prize, winner-selection process, notification method, and claim requirements, and they will control if they differ from this general policy.
Unless the Official Rules state otherwise, no purchase is necessary to enter, and a purchase will not improve the chance of winning. Giveaways are void where prohibited.
Winners will be contacted only through the Dirty Birds Collective account or contact method identified in the Official Rules. We will never ask a winner to pay a fee or provide banking credentials to claim a prize. Unless expressly stated, a giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, or any other social platform.
Dirty Birds Collective may disqualify fraudulent, automated, abusive, or noncompliant entries and may modify, suspend, or cancel a giveaway if technical problems or circumstances outside our control prevent it from being conducted fairly, subject to applicable law.
